The new £92,000 Audi RS 6 Avant high-performance estate car is now on sale in the UK.
Available in a choice of four guises, the supercar-worrying wagon will come with a 4.0-litre V8 engine as standard. Two turbochargers help that motor churn out a massive 592bhp – enough for a 3.6-second sprint to 62mph. At full chat, the car will be doing 155mph – or 174mph, if it’s de-restricted.
For your £92,000, though, you just get the ‘boggo’ 155mph version. That car gets 21-inch alloy wheels, aluminium door mirror caps and the usual RS 6 body kit. Heated and ventilated front seats come as standard, along with the twin-screen “digital operating system” and Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument display.
Upgrading to the RS 6 Avant Carbon Black adds an extra £7,900 to the price tag, but you get more for your money. The wheels grow to 22 inches and turn black, as do the door mirror housings, window trim strips and spoilers. Inside, the Carbon Black gets grey leather and Alcantara touches, plus carbon-fibre trim.
The most expensive RS 6, though, is the Vorsprung model. At £109,250, it comes with a sports exhaust, a panoramic glass sunroof and a Bang & Olufsen 3D audio system. Front and rear seat heating feature, too, as well as a fleet of driver assistance systems.
Finally, Audi will also sell a £101,700 Launch Edition model that’s marked out by 22-inch black wheels and red brake callipers. The panoramic glass sunroof and the sport exhaust are standard, too, along with top speed de-restriction. And inside, the Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system also stars.
